Christmas Wonderland

I have NO idea how these pictures just came out arranged this way...totally fascinating. But, I won't complain. I just wanted to post a few pics of my humble little abode at Christmas time. Jere INSISTS that we have a winter wonderland, and frankly, with only 2ish rooms to decorate, it's not that hard. The fireplace pic really looks so much better when there is a fire going. We have a pic like that somewhere, but I have no idea where. My kitchen has a gingerbread theme, but I didn't include the pic of the cupboards with gingerbread on them. I love my three little mini trees, they're just perfect for the space we're in. I also collect snowmen and nativities. I sort of slowed down on the snowment, 'cause I've run out of anywhere to put anything new, but I still love them.
I know in another post I talked of my general bah humbugness towards this holiday. I really do love the decorations, the lights, the time of year. And as mentioned in the last post, I especially love the yearly wrap up Christmas letters. I simply don't like buying gifts with money you don't have, just for the sake of giving someone something. People just put themselves into more debt, and I think that is dumb. Plus, I don't ever "want' anything, or "need" anything. I mean, I NEED a lot of things, but mostly it's money, and noone seems to think that is very fun to give. So, I'd rather just decorate, give people something that is completely a necessity or totally home made and meaningful and call it a day. It kills Jere, it really does, but I can't help it, I am what I am, and that is too logical and too practical to make Christmas a FUN holiday. haha

Wow. Three posts in one day. Now you're putting my recent achievements to shame. The letters at Christmas are my favorite too. I never thought to articulate it the way you did! Thanks. BTW, have you tried my blog again? If you have and it's fine, post something. If not, call me again, and, with my limited capabilities, I'll try to fix it.
See you Tuesday!

I love your decorations! I remember coming to your Christmas party when you announced that you were pregnant the first time. After that, every year when I decorate my house I think of you. I was really impressed with your house and wish I had a tenth of the cute stuff you have. Our outside looks cute though!
Merry Christmas!

PS. I got the kids pictures at JCPenny and they have really good coupons online. I really like them:)

I meant to comment on the cute lettering on the door the other day. Is that just easy to peel right off? What a clever idea...I'll steal it.

Your lust for money..(haha) remindes me of a Seinfelf episode where Jerry and George give Elaine money wrapped up for her birthday, and she is very upset by it...anyway...I feel the same way about gifts. Just something homemade or practical please, or a plate of cookies, I like cookies. :)
